U-Church will present an evening of worship on Sunday

The Lee University U-Church Series will host this spring semester “Come to the Table, an Evening of Worship” led by LeeU Worship on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Conn Center.

“This semester’s ‘Come to The Table’ service will be led by current LeeU Worship members and will feature an original song written by Abigail Joy, Kevin Currenton and Bekah Thompson,” said Dr. Brad Moffett, Director of LeeU Worship and Vice President of University Relations. “I look forward to those moments of musical worship and the communion service that we will enjoy together.”

“An Evening of Worship” is centered around fellowship, student-led worship, and creative production provided by the LeeU Tech team.

The theme for the evening is “Awake” and is based on Isaiah 52, which states, “Awake, awake, Zion, clothe yourself with strength! Put on your garments of splendor, Jerusalem, the holy city.

LeeU Worship is a collective of student songwriters, worship leaders, and musicians who are passionate about leading their peers on the Lee University campus through meaningful worship encounters. The ensemble released an album in 2017 of 10 original songs ranging from the typical high-tempo electronic sound, powerful ballads and a modern hymn based on the New Testament text sung by the early church.

U-Church is a free, ticketless event open to students, alumni and the community. First come, first served.
