Elizabethtown Reformed Baptist Church is promising “three days of exhibition preaching” later this month as the church hosts its first-ever summer Bible conference.
Scheduled from July 23 to 25, the conference is free and open to the public.
Church pastor Joshua White said that while this is the first time the church has hosted the event, he hopes to make it an annual effort.
“Our main goal and hope for this conference is, above all, that our God be glorified in and through the Lord Jesus Christ,” he said. “Our hope and prayer is that God will use the faithful preaching of the word of God and the prayers of his saints to bless his people and transform the lives of sinners in our community.
Guest speakers include Ken Glisch, pastor of the Christ Fellowship Particular Baptist Chapel in Paris, Tennessee; Faron Knopp, pastor of Mill Creek Baptist Church in Radcliff; Tim Scott, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Independence; Kyle White, pastor of Community Baptist Church in Elmendorf, Texas; and Jesse Green, a missionary based at Grace Baptist Church in Middletown, Ohio.
The conference will begin on July 23 at 7:00 p.m. with a mission report from Glisch and a message from Green. Activities begin at 10:30 a.m. on July 24 with messages from Knopp and Scott. The conference ends on July 25 with messages from Kyle White and Scott, which also begin at 10:30 a.m.
A free lunch is offered on July 24 and 25 following the first message of each day.
“Our hope is that all participants will walk away with a renewed love and zeal for the gospel, our Lord and His people,” said Joshua White. “This is why we have no desire to charge anyone money for this event and any money that may be given will be considered as a gift to our speakers to help cover their travel expenses. in Elizabethtown. “
